The care of the elderly is a part of God's work for us that we would rather not think about. I wish I had known this poem ear...that was moving. I wish I had known this poem earlier, as my choir performed a "poetry-themed" concert for senior citizens at Estabrook Rec Center. In between songs like Fame is A Fickle Food by Emily Dickenson, students read their original works, and a couple of already published works. I think this one would have both hit home with the audience and made the students think differently about who their audience really was.<br /><br />oh well, I do a poetry theme about every 4 years or so.
